NORDPOL + HAMBURG WINS THREE GOLD STATUES FOR TELEVISION/CINEMA AT PRESTIGIOUS LONDON INTERNATIONAL AWARDS 2007
11 German Entries from 19 German Companies Win Gold Statues, 41 Win Silver
(London, November 12, 2007) – Nordpol + Hamburg was the big German Winner at the 2007 London International Awards held at the Hippodrome this evening. Their Television/Cinema commercial, “Power Of Wind”, won three Gold Statues in the categories of Direction Visual, New Broadcast-Director and Utilities. They were also awarded another Statue, a Silver, for Direction Visual for their Renault Television/Cinema spot “Ballet”.
In total, there were 19 German companies that were recognized for their superior entries. Now in its 22nd year, the London International Awards honours excellence in Advertising, Design and Digital Media.
52 entries from Germany have been chosen as Gold and Silver Statue Winners in the medium of Print, Digital Media, Design, Television/Cinema, Package Design, Poster & Outdoor and Radio. 185 entries in total from Germany reached Finalist status.

Of the 17,660 submissions, only eight percent (6%) reached Finalist status. Of those elite selections, 1.4% attained Silver status and only 0.5% were awarded Gold Statues. The vast number of submissions reflects the prestige and explosive growth of the London International Awards since its inception in 1986 when 2,600 submissions were considered.
