TWO SLOVAKIAN AGENCIES WIN FINALIST STATUS
AT PRESTIGIOUS LONDON INTERNATIONAL AWARDS 2008
(London, November 10, 2008) – Two Slovakian agencies - Istropolitana D'Arcy and Vaculik Advertising - attained a Finalist Status each at the London International Awards 2008. Now in its 23rd year, London International Awards continues to honour excellence in advertising, design and digital media.
Istropolitana D'Arcy's 'Bottle or Trumpet' for Topvar won a Finalist in Guerrilla Marketing and Vaculik Advertising's entry 'We Are Still Learning' for Student Theatre Festival won in Entertainment, Television/Cinema.
Of the 17,969 submissions, only 5% reached Finalist status. The vast number of submissions reflects the prestige and explosive growth of London International Awards since its inception in 1986 when 2,600 submissions were judged.
"It is good to see agencies in emerging markets holding their own in both these mediums, traditionally the stronghold of more established markets," said Barbara Levy, President of London International Awards. "We feel very privileged to be able to showcase the tremendous talent from the Slovak Republic."
