777interactive Wins Two Gold and One Silver Statue

(London, November 10, 2008) – Four agencies in Japan were recognised for their superior entries to the 2008 London International Awards held at the Hippodrome this evening. Now in its 23rd year, London International Awards continues to honour excellence in advertising, design and digital media.

The four companies that won Gold and Silver Statues include:

777interactive's entry 'Color Tokyo' for Sony Bravia won two Gold Statues in Best Use of Interactivity and Corporate Image, Digital Media. They won a Silver Statue for Weird Wonderful Work, Digital Media;

Dentsu's entry 'Non-blinking woman' for CarrE de chocolat won a Gold Statue in Confectionery/Snacks, Television/Cinema. They won a Silver Statue for their entry 'Sing with Roots' for Roots in Best Use of Sound Design/Music, Digital Media;

McCann Erickson Japan Inc. won a Silver Statue for their entry 'Snap of Blade business card' for OLFA Cutter in Stationery, Design; and

Monster Film Inc. won a Silver Statue for their entry 'Merlion' For Eco Wari (Economy Discount) in Travel & Tourism, Television/ Cinema.

"The Japanese have always done well in the Show no matter how tough the judging. This year they have proven their high creative standard again," said Barbara Levy, President of London International Awards.

Of the 17,969 total submissions from 81 countries, only five percent (5%) reached Finalist status. From that elite group, 1.4% attained Silver status and only 0.7% were awarded Gold Statues. The vast number of submissions reflects the prestige and explosive growth of the London International Awards since its inception in 1986 when 2,600 submissions were considered.
