(London, November 10, 2008) – Ogilvy Singapore won seven Gold Statues and seven Silver Statues, making them the biggest Singapore winner at the Show. They were recognised for their superior entries to the 2008 London International Awards held at the Hippodrome this evening. Now in its 23rd year, London International Awards continues to honour excellence in advertising, design and digital media.

Ogilvy Singapore won seven Gold Statues with 'Art', 'Health', 'Superheroes' and 'Beauty' for FHM. Three Gold Statues were in Design, one Gold Statue each in Poster Indoor, Media Promotion, Print, Consumer Campaign and Art Direction Campaign

The same ads for FHM also won six Silver Statues; one in Poster Campaign Indoor, one in Poster Campaign and four in Art Direction, Print. Their other FHM campaign, titled 'Bikini', 'Kinky' and 'Lingerie' won Silver in Consumer Campaign, Print.

The other winning agencies include:

Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore won a Gold Statue in Public Service/Social Welfare Campaign, Print;

Leo Burnett/ARC Worldwide won a Silver Statue in Logo, Design;

Publicis Singapore won a Silver Statue in Package Design; and

Y&R Singapore won a two Silver Statues in Copywriting, Print and one Silver Statue in Best Use of Music,Television/Cinema.

"Once again Singapore is showing the creative world their superiority in Print and Poster. But this year, they've stepped up their game by excelling in Design as well," observed Barbara Levy, President of London International Awards.

Of the 17,969 total submissions from 81 countries, only five percent (5%) reached Finalist status. From that elite group, 1.4% attained Silver status and only 0.7% were awarded Gold Statues. The vast number of submissions reflects the prestige and explosive growth of the London International Awards since its inception in 1986 when 2,600 submissions were considered.
