Farfar Wins Two Gold Sand Three Silver Statues, Ogilvy Stockholm Wins Silver

(London, November 10, 2008) – - Farfar Stockholm, the big Winner in Sweden, was recognised for their superior entries to the 2008 London International Awards held at the Hippodrome this evening. Now in its 23rd year, London International Awards continues to honour excellence in advertising, design and digital media.

Farfar Stockholm won two Gold Statues - one for their entry 'Get Out and Play' in Best use of Animation/Motion, Digital Media and another for 'Emotional Cities' in Institutional. Additionally, Farfar Stockholm was awarded three Silver Statues: '' won for Corporate Image; 'Emotional Cities' for Innovation Online; and 'Get Out and Play' for Online Games, Digital Media.

Ogilvy Stockholm's entry 'Pandas' for World Wildlife Foundation was honoured with a Silver Statue in Billboard.

"Sweden has always excelled in Digital Media. They are always at the forefront of creativity when it comes to Digital," said Barbara Levy, President of London International Awards. "Winning this many statues proves it."

Of the 17,969 total submissions from 81 countries, only five percent (5%) reached Finalist status. From that elite group, 1.4% attained Silver status and only 0.7% were awarded Gold Statues. The vast number of submissions reflects the prestige and explosive growth of the London International Awards since its inception in 1986 when 2,600 submissions were considered.
