(London, November 10, 2008) – MJZ Los Angeles was recognised for their superior entries to the 2008 London International Awards held at the Hippodrome this evening. Now in its 23rd year, London International Awards continues to honour excellence in advertising, design and digital media.

MJZ Los Angeles won two Gold Statues with their entries 'Chocolate Man' for Axe and 'Touch' for Skittles in Humour, Television/Cinema. In addition, they were awarded two Silver Statues with their entries 'Tipping Point' for Guinness and 'Aviator' for JC Penny in Direction - Visual, Television/Cinema; and another Silver Statue with 'It's Mine' for Coca Cola in Animation, Television/Cinema.

"MJZ Los Angeles is a tough act to follow," said Barbara Levy, President of London International Awards. "They have won numerous Statues in the very competitive media of Television/Cinema and we are pleased to be able to showcase their spots in our Show."

Of the 17,969 total submissions from 81 countries, only five percent (5%) reached Finalist status. From that elite group, 1.4% attained Silver status and only 0.7% were awarded Gold Statues. The vast number of submissions reflects the prestige and explosive growth of the London International Awards since its inception in 1986 when 2,600 submissions were considered.
