The NEW Category

Entries for the NEW Category are for work that merges the power of an original idea with a relevant compelling execution. Emotionally inspirational, imaginative work, effectively creating new dialogues, creating new spaces of interaction, altering perceptions, setting new benchmarks that invite and reward at every level of engagement.
Submissions can be singular or multiple, offline and or online, multi platform interactive experiences, and all cross media branded entertainment.
May include but not limited to; Television, Print, Outdoor, Websites, Blogs, online/offline Games, Ambient, Live Events, Email, Podcast, Social Network Communities, Mobile, Direct, Alternate Reality games (ARG) Augmented Reality (AR)

The NEW CATEGORY REQUIREMENTS:

1. All parts of the entry must relate to a single advertising/branding campaign.
 
2. In less than 100 words, give a basic description of the project. In addition, you may provide cultural context details to help the jury better understand the idea.
 
3. A compilation presentation of the entire Integrated Campaign entry must be sent on a DVD. Each of the media used in the campaign must be represented on the DVD. The presentation should contain a brief supporting narrative of the opportunity, solution, experience, and all visuals of the execution. It is mandatory that the narration is in English.
 
4. The DVD presentation may NOT be longer than 5 minutes.
 
5. Narrative presentation must not contain entrant name or branding of entering company.
 
6. If the elements are not in English, please provide written English translations.
 
7. Once you have completed and finalised the Entries online, the system automatically generates your Summary Form, your Entry Form(s) and your Invoice. You will quickly receive a copy of all these, to the email address you logged in with. You must then print these forms and include them with your entry material before sending it to us.

DIGITAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Each entry must be submitted on a unique URL. If you are making more than one entry, do not supply one URL to a site that contains multiple links to multiple entries. The URL you provide must be to the exact site that you wish to be judged.
 
2. All URLs submitted must be live 6th June 2009 through 30th November 2009.
 
3. Submit any User Name and Passwords required for viewing your entry. List all plug-ins that are required to view your entry. Any entries that are unable to be viewed (due to an incorrect URL, User Name or Password) will be disqualified and will not be judged.
 
4. Once you have completed and finalised the Entries online, the system automatically generates your Summary Form, your Entry Form(s) and your Invoice. You will quickly receive a copy of all these, to the email address you logged in with.

INTEGRATED CAMPAIGN
These Awards recognize the creative excellence and impact given to advertising and/or branding across all media, all communication and distribution channels without limitation to the length of execution or the boundaries of media used.
 
Media List:
Ambient/Non-Traditional (is usually site specific or engages the consumer in a
    unique, creative, unexpected yet relevant way. Includes live events, creative stunts and
    guerrilla marketing. All work must be shown in situ and must have run with legal
    permission.)

Television/Cinema/Digital/Web/Mobile entries can either be uploaded directly to the Entry System or sent to LIA on DVD(s).

DVD Entries - £15 Pounds Sterling encoding fee per entry if paying in Sterling
$25 U.S. encoding fee per entry if paying in Dollars

1. Entries accepted as uploaded .mov files only.
The specs for movie file uploads:
Resolution: 720 x 480 pixels; File type: .mov; Compression: h264; Sound: AAC 44khz.
File size: up to 60 MB

2. Campaign entries must be uploaded as separate files (one for each spot in the campaign).

3. DVD entries: SINGLE ENTRIES - each spot must be sent on a separate DVD. CAMPAIGN ENTRIES - all parts of a campaign should be sent on one DVD. Clearly mark the DVD and DVD case with the Entry ID number and the Title of the spot(s).

4. Commercials not broadcast or aired in English will only be accepted dubbed or subtitled in English.

1. Supply: One (1) mounted proofsheet (in the size that the ad ran) of each entry for each category. No proofsheet should be more than 600mm x 400mm/24 inches x 16 inches in size. If you are entering the same ad in different categories you must send one (1) copy for each category you enter. Each ad should be mounted separately on foam-board with a border. For Direct Mail entries supply: One (1) piece of the actual entry.

2. ENTRIES MUST BE MOUNTED WITH A BORDER OF 76mm/3", do not mount entry as a bleed.

3. One (1) mounted proofsheet for each ad of a campaign is required. Do not place all ads on one board.

4. In addition to the above requirements, upload a JPEG(s) of each entry. Your image uploads should be approx 2400 x 3000 pixels RGB JPEG. Equivalent to 203mm by 254mm/8" x 10" at 300 dpi. Maximum file size: 5 megabytes.

RADIO REQUIREMENTS:

1. Entries accepted as uploaded MP3 files only. All entries must be a minimum of 64kbps (mono) up to a maximum of 196kpps. MP3 file format (stereo) with a compression ratio of 22:1. No single MP3 should be over 1MB in size. We cannot accept CDs for Radio entries.

2. Campaign entries must be uploaded as separate files (one for each advert in the campaign).

3. Radio commercials not broadcast or aired in English will be accepted either dubbed in English with the original music and/or sound effects or with a written translation in English. If your Radio entry is not in English you must email an English translation to amanda@liaawards.com. You must include the entry number, category, product and title. We do not want a synopsis of the commercial. We must have the actual script translated into English.

4. Once you have completed and finalised the Entries online, the system automatically generates your Summary Form, your Entry Form(s) and your Invoice. You will quickly receive a copy of all these, to the email address you logged in with.
